Speaking of honesty - how about telling me what really bothers you about Israel. I'm not asking for a laundry list of charges which you can find written out there somewhere. What gets you in the gut and bothers YOU?
Truth is good, lies are bad. Compassion is good, predation is bad. The real question is why nobody in this country (for example - YOU) is bothered that we are funding, arming, and providing political cover for this onslaught onto the poor, defenseless Palestinian ..

That's your attempt at honesty - you're a good compassionate person and all those who disagree are brutal oppressors of the poor and defenseless. Sheesh.

I'll try again - the situation with Palestinians is similar to Turkish occupied Cyprus. Why does it seem that that situation doesn't provoke you compassionate side?

There are friendly posts about Turkey which appreciate it as a US ally:

Do you feel a compulsion to straighten them out about how bad Turkey and Turks are?

Thomas..... sounds like you are really losing track of reality.

I see a vision of "poor, defenseless Palestinians" firing off AK47s and dancing in the street after hearing of the 9/11 attack against America.

I see a vision of Arafat's police, murdering those same Palestinians for celebrating the 9/11 attacks, because it was creating bad press.

I see a vision of "poor, defenseless Palestinian" mothers, celebrating the deaths of their sons and daughters, after their sons murdered innocent Israeli civilians.

I see a vision of Israeli teenage girls, at a dance, being killed and maimed by "poor, defenseless Palestinians".

I see a vision of a bus load of Israeli men, women and children being killed and maimed by "poor, defenseless Palestinians".

I see a vision of three Christian kids, who lived in Palestinian territory, being lynched by a mob of "poor, defenseless Palestinians".

I see a vision of you consumed by hate, and blinded to the atrocities of the Palestinian terrorists.

"poor, defenseless Thomas"

In the Islamic world today, Jews are blamed for every political, economic, and even personal problem. In the Fox interview, Arafat speaks of "those who are facing the starvation, facing the unemployment, facing this siege, facing the tragedy of their families - the poverty of their families. Some of them, they didn't find food to eat." Before Arafat and his government launched the intifada in Sept. 2000, investment capital was pouring in to the West Bank and Gaza from all over the world and Israel was working closely with the Palestinian Authority toward establishing a prosperous and peaceful Palestinian Arab State. In most of the rest of the Islamic world, populations are being conditioned with hateful propaganda against Jews by ruling elites who seek to divert attention away from their own totalitarian dictatorships and their own responsibility for the pervasive misery and poverty wracking their countries.
