Cory Re..Must have been some ugly rumors in the pit about AMD the last few weeks......or do you think the freefall is just a result of AMD's poor outlook and week fundamentals? This thing is a lead balloon right now....should have shorted as you advised!!! That was a good call.

Yes silly me. Everyone should know by now that if Intel did something wrong, AMD would pay for it.

I haven't heard any rumours of anyone questioning AMD's accounting practices other than the FUDsters posting here...Unfortunately for AMD, the market punishes them for encroaching on INTC's territory...Kinda like when one does something stupid to oneself and takes it out on the family pet...Absolutely incredible that the market can't read between the lines of:

1: the UMC deal
2: the Alchemy deal
3. Recent marketing thrusts: i) XP, ii) golf sponsorship - DeMarco and iii) race car sponsorship - Ferrari

Either AMD management is wayward beyond comprehension or AMD management knows it has the game ball in hand...

Personally, given AMD's recent track record of DDR, Athy, HT and the XP marketing coup (not sure what distinguishing positive accomplishments AMD's competitor has come up with over this interval), I'm concluding that there is every reason to believe that AMD has the game ball in hand but is not yet revealing it to those around...Trends, trends, trends, Cory!!!
