And how about some short action?

My largest short WHR, down 7 bucks today. I think this overpriced pig is going down a long ways. Maybe a better short than EBAY, my current best.

The gold bull is just beginning. My plan is to rotate these short profits into some riskier junior laggards. And the profits are starting to build.

I think the general market is hanging on by a thread. The fear seems to be building. If the herd starts exiting, look out. The gold action seems to telegraphing the same message.

Plan, patience and execution.

Thanks to you vt, Frank and others for your information regarding laggards. I picked up some MNP a few days back and will probably pick up a lot more. 60 bagger with free short money - I can take it.

Good thing we avoided Hanover Compressor @ $14-15

Class action fraud suits against their management are piling up. Another was announced yesterday morning.

I'm not a big fan of ambulance chasers. But they can smell easy prey, a mile away. And when a bunch of em show up? Tryin' to fade em with a big long position is a rookie trading mistake IMHO.

Top amateur traders and pros instinctively sense the shift in risk/reward that recent weeks price action and news in that stock has telegraphed. Players diving into anything that makes a big drop assuming historic valuation measures will protect them are just showing their ignorance of common sense risk control and well established trading rules.

Experienced players know the tape always leads public disclosures that can drastically change standard spread sheet value metrics that are, by their very nature, a rear view mirror perspective

Be interesting to see how this plays out. But so far, Mr Market has ruled in favor of my table pounding warning to stay away HC. What a blood bath since the heavy pump on another thread led to an immediate blood bath among the many who posted taking big positions in this falling safe.

BTW vt, kudos on some very nice rotational trading work throughout the PM worthies on both sides of the border.<g>

Regards,
