Let's just say I have this feeling that AMD will position the Alchemy product lines squarely against the markets that X-Scale will be aimed at. As people here have already said, the embedded market is huge and diverse, so AMD will have plenty of room to pursue different segments. If they don't (as I predict), and go after Intel's markets instead, I believe that will be a tacit admission that AMD purchased Alchemy to follow Intel.
