Westi, If ene misrepresented financials and Aurther Anderson lied in collusion and some lawyers said it was all legal.
The solution is simple. If they violated the law they goto jail and they are sued to bankruptsy. If what they did was legal then you make a law that says that's not legal.

I'd guess it's possible that what they did was arguably legal but they may have broken some disclosure laws. Breaking thd disclosure laws I'd guess makes all who participated libel for damages.

Jagfan posted an article about the fact that tax code makes doing what they did desirable so no taxes are paid. In that light all the moneys gotten by those folks who did the deals could be looked upon as bonuses or fees for saving the company millions in tax liability. It may have been technically legal. I don't know the laws involved. I do know that tax codes are a mountain of crap.
