Sorry, my mix-up ;-).

However, with regards to Mercedes, the coupling with McLaren is much tighter than just providing engines.

The auto racing biz provides a pretty good bang for the advertising buck, IMO, but F1 seems over-priced to me as compared to some($50M doesn't go very far there). Still, if you want world wide recognition in one package, you can sure pick it up there in a hurry.

I don't know how I feel about the 2 way telemetry rule changes where the cars software settings can be modified from the pits by radio. And I'm pretty sure I preferred driver controled starts to radio/software controled ones.

I agree with you on both accounts ;-).
