That does not mean that the general observation is false. That argument was used throughout the entire Vietnam War, not just the Pentagon Papers. For many years the NRO's very existance was classified. Now they have an internet Web site. Reagan's papers, covered for national security reasons. ... which is a bit ironic since it was during the Reagan Administration that the design information for nuclear weapons was declassified and released to the public. There is a very long history of protecting information under the auspices of national security. To think that such doesn't continue to happen is either naive or moronic.... jttmab
