Data-storage company Network Appliances NTAP will likely report a decent quarter on Tuesday, returning to profitability after a couple quarters in the red, said Morningstar senior stock analyst Joseph Beaulieu. Most analysts expect a profit of roughly $0.02 per share. Part of the reason for a spike in earnings is because of holiday sales, as well as end-of-year information-technology spending by corporations, Beaulieu said. Network Appliances would have to show progress against the intense competition in the storage industry if Morningstar were to raise its fair value for the shares, he said. The stock currently trades 58% higher than Morningstar's fair value of $10 per share. biz.yahoo.com
