Actually, from everything I heard, the idea that Cheney wants no court fight is pure Dem spin. Fred Barnes has been especially emphatic about that. It's the Dems/GAO that don't want a court fight. As I noted, they've been threatening legal action for nine months now. They even gave 9/11 as a bogus escuse for their delay - making them scoundrel class. The Dems have nothing but their hopes of pinning the Clinton scandal of Enron on Bush. The GAO is playing their part. I'm sure Cheney has a very good idea how the courts will go - how the Supremes will rule.
