Kidd Creek scam (?)
Very interesting piece, EC, and a persuasive apologia for Darke. Bearing in mind when it took place, I agree that 'a scam' is not the right word and even (at that time) insider trading rules were more lax. However if you were looking at that piece of ore today, I doubt that one could buy the stock before disclosure - and that goes for the others too.

RE Texas Gulf and Sulfer,1964,My father was the one of the Morgan executives who had to testify.Thomas Lamont (morgan vice chairman) was a board member of each co.He called my father right after Texas Gulf made the annoucement to its board, to have him purchase shares for clients.A press announcement was made but for reasons unknown did not hit the wire until 20 minutes later. The one purchased made was for Nassau County Hospital (non profit),long island,ny .of which my father was treasurer. He was found not guilty of any intentional violation. Until your comments now and previously I'd only heard the part that involving JPM.
