mm, tv time for the Congressmen. It is much cheaper than buying ads during elections. They are all preaching about how they will close the barn door now that all of our prize horses are in cans of Alpo. <g> Thanks, guys.

so they can make speeches -- you know that -- express moral outrage, while they all got those sweetheart IPO deals for being congressmen.

MM, as others have said it's for show. I will believe the outrage if these crooks get 20+ years and have all their ill -gotten gains confiscated.( my preference would be life - they don't call me Mr. Tough Love for nothing -g-) This show also serves Wall St because it gives the public false confidence that this behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. the 90s have been full of lies, hype, deception & misinformation which continues to this day. Pro forma nonsense is just one example. The lax enforcement seems to suggest it ok commit stealth acts of economic violence just don't be so blatant about. You must be subtle about ripping off the public so they don't realize what has happened for a long time. Mike

These people can plead the 5th, but that doesn't stop them from having to incriminate others. It seems that the congressmen don't really want to know.
