SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 7 (Reuters) - Network computer maker Sun Microsystems Inc. (NasdaqNM:SUNW - news) said on Thursday it planned to launch a new line of low-end servers based on the upstart Linux operating system rather than its leading proprietary system......Sun made the announcement during its annual analyst conference in San Francisco. It gave no release date for the new server line, which will use so-called ``x86'' microchips made popular by Intel Corp.

This is almost like Intel announcing they will start marketing AMD chips....
