don't want to sound puffy, but that's not why you sell calls in the first place -- hoping something will tank.

if you think it's goin down sell it -- if you want income and think it's going up sell the calls and if it goes up, buy them back and sell the next higher strike -- OTW just hold it long

if you think it may tank and wouldn't mind owning at that lower level sell the puts short
