It means the consumer has finally hit the wall, and the 2nd dip is imminent. Probably saw a last hurrah when the bonds and mortgage rates collapsed in early November in response to the hit by Peter Fisher on the 30 year. It means BubbleBoy is pushing on a string furiously, and nothing is happening. It means the circles are moving tighter and tighter in response to the handle being depressed, which happens when (class?)...

WHEN EVERYTHING'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN THE CRAPPER!

EDIT: Picked up some FD poots...wife tells me mall traffic is nonexistant, their SSS were down, and this is probably as good as it gets for awhile.
