hypostomus: (I really need to look that up, lol.) Good point, but all of the posts are timestamped, and I believe most of the commentary today was pretty much "real-time" in that we were comparing notes on what was happening as it was happening. However, I would be glad to try to give you more precise info on my trades if you want. I have the exact time of each.

>>BTW, how do you all find time to post? <<

Lol, I think we were both just saying last night that it was hard to trade and post at the same time. I usually don't, for the reasons you mention, but had the time today. Susan is a posting whirlwind, as her posts here are probably only a fraction of her daily posts. She must have extra eyes and fingers or something <g>.

One difference might be that I/we are holding trades longer than you are, and so have a little more time to "relax". I actually need a few distractions from the charts and DOM so that I don't overtrade as much, trying to finesse every move. I usually give up points trying to do that.

Good Trading to you!

Phoenix

If I post something is happening on a chart, I post within 2 or 3 minutes of seeing it - otherwise I will say it happened whenever, and state the time.

Staring at charts all day and the screen, posting breaks up the monotony and isolation of trading alone. And if all you are doing is staring at charts. you can keep a window open to read posts on the thread you follow. Keeps it fun, especially on some of the threads on SI where humor is mixed in with the serious posts!

I was short from around 10 am and did nothing but cover half at one point and then add it back later, and more right before the close. So I'm not trading constantly, just watching, and on range bound days like most of today was I get bored <g> I'm not good at scalping in and out constantly, that's when I lose.

I am known for RUNNING to the kitchen, only about 12 feet away for more coffee and visiting the bathroom for no more than 3 seconds at a time though, and if the dog needs to be walked, I usually make her wait <g>

I rarely even eat lunch, just grab a cookie on a run through the kitchen!

I am posting Eastern Standard Time - but whatever timeframe you are in, your SI posts should be stamped for your real time - not ours, I would think.

Welcome to the thread!
