Monish, It is pretty ugly. I don't know when traders and brokers will start to understand what McDonald's has known for so long: it is often better to make a little profit on lots of trades than a huge profit on a few trades.

monish, it is my understanding that if you spilt the bid/ask on a limit buy that YOU become the new bid. same thing in reverse limit sells between the bid and ask become the new ask.
