Not my thread, but hardly OT if you make money at it. What you described is a well-disciplined exit system for cutting losses and letting winnings run. I heartily concur. I do something similar using the five bar sma, which I think of as "don't give a sucker an even break." However, once you've got risk/position management down, the remaining art is in the entry stop, IMUHO. The system I am evolving has ten entry conditions (not actually as complicated as it sounds, as they are mostly sequential and easy to recognize). You using random entry, or something more elegant?
