According to the Congressional Record, there was no mention of Osama Bin
Laden during the Iran-Contra hearings by Oliver North or anyone else. In fact,
there was no mention of Osama Bin Laden in the Congressional Record at all in
1987, the year of the hearings.

Also, Senator Al Gore was not a member of the joint House-Senate Iran-Contra
Committee and did not do any of the questioning.

One of the charges against North at that time, however, was his accepting a
security system for his home as a gift. He said he needed it because of threats
against himself and his family by Palestinian terrorist Abu Nidal.

Who wouldn't accept a security system to protect their family if threatened by a terrorist?

The truth really hurts those liberals who refuse to accept the fact that Oliver North's actions were heroic. They need to discredit him, since they would never ever have the courage he displayed for his country.

Why would a scum bag like Abu Nidal threaten Oliver North?.....possibly because he had a plane forced down by U.S. fighter planes, containing the terrorist who threw a handicapped american tourist overboard from a cruise ship.
