I just saw an advertisement for Mel Gibson's new movie due March 1st.....We Were Soldiers Once The book is one of the best I've ever read. Written by Lt. Gen. Harold Moore and Joseph Galloway about the battle of the Ia Drang valley in November 1965 and the 7th Cavalry. "We Were Soldiers Once...and Young is a great book of military history, written the way military history should be written. It is a gut-wrenching account of what war is really about, which should be 'must' reading for all Americans, especially those who have been led to believe that war is some kind of Nintendo game" ~General H. Norman Schwarzkopf I've been waiting for this movie to come out....
