"But on what do you base your opinion that retail spending is up in the last month?" Foot traffic. "If it is, is one month a trend?" One month is not a trend. I do not believe one can forcast the future from one month. The momentum is up lately whereas, last year at this time, it was down. That does not mean the momentum will be up next month. "Kmart sure made some strategic mistakes they could not recover from. Plus, they don't have the sneaky accountants that co's like amazon.com have! " Kmart made lots of errors but they were straight forward about them. Kind of refreshing actually.
