Thanks, that's what I thought... a million in 10 different banks is FULLY insured.

I looked into this and got information that yes they are separately insured, but that FDIC will only insure $100K. Will make a call tomorrow and make sure I was asking the right questions. Have a few banks and brokerage houses that I do business with and talked to them specifically about the payout if one defaults.
