Not necessarily. If Banais is targeted strictly at the desktop replacement market, this would probably be true. But with mobile P4 targeted at this market, Banias could be a trail blazer into an as yet untapped market. And this market may not need more power than P-III.

For the record, I will concede that Banais may be able to clock as much higher than P-III and have as much increased IPC versus P-III as Palomino does versus TBird. But this will not be sufficient to challenge mobile Barton at its highest clock speeds.
