Elmer, I suspect another reason Timna was cancelled is poor performance of graphics compared to what was becoming cheaply available at the time, such as TNT2. i815 has pretty terrible 3D performance, and that came AFTER the Timna design.

It sure is amazing how much people who weren't there know. As for graphics, I don't think it's nearly as big a deal as you think it is. I almost never do anything that pushes my i815e. Most people just don't care.

I was under the impression that the graphics in 815 is pretty much the same as the original 810, which came before Timna.
