I'm not so sure Sun is dictating anything to Intel or AMD. Once again AMD's lack of a good multi-cpu chipset may deny them the sales so many people hope for.

Is it that or that they are more comfortable with Intel in general in spite of their friction? The reason I say that is because of the way they couched the release.....using the term "compatibility with Intel architecture". Why not be more specific?

I don't think so. It is my impression that in dual CPU configuration Intel no longer has anything which can compete on performance.
