Exactly my point.

From that 1 source flow so many diverse but equally deplorable streams of thought and ideology.....

And the source isn't anti-Zionism, it's RACISM/ANTI-SEMITISM.

What's more, they actually agreed on praising Israelis -- albeit the left-wing officers who signed the anti-occupation petition.

Naturally, I've seen that petition splashed across CNN, NPR, NY Times, etc. Of course, they don't mention that the Israeli reaction is wide-spread disapproval across the political spectrum. Not because of disapproval of problems of conscience with the occupation, but because this looks and smells like the Left trying to force a change of government policy by fomenting an army mutiny, which is anti-democratic.

If the officers think their orders are illegal, they should disobey, and demand a court-martial. If they want to change government policy, they should work through the political system. The army does not make policy.

On the other hand, we have the perfectly logical bedfellows, Zionists and Nazis, united in their racism:

<<< "A state built upon the principle of the purity of nation and race can only be honored and respected by a Jew who declares his belonging to his own kind." Thus spoke Dr. Joachim Prinz, a Zionist rabbi, in a book entitled Wir Juden (We Jews), published in 1934 and celebrating the victory of Adolf Hitler and the defeat of liberalism in Germany. Later Prinz became a central figure in the World Zionist Organization. >>>

And here you are, supporting their cause. Nice.
