I don't know what you run, but I'm running, *ALL THE TIME* 1600 X 1200 on a $50.00 graphics card. I'm going integrated graphics on my next machine if there's a reasonable MOBO.( The only thing that'll keep me away from it is I want a larger virtual desktop. )

I haven't owned a graphics card worth over $50.00 for my last 5 computers.

I just don't do graphically intensive stuff.(Action games.)

And I suspect most people who buy high end graphics cards are being sold a bill of goods.

I run at 1600x1200. The only drawback is it's limited to 256 colors at that resolution.
