Not exactly. Gold in Rand terms has increased 60% last year, which is not a small increase. So there go Drooy, Gold, and HGMCY fundamentals.

A novel idea: Try ringing a bell.....I understand that at the bottom and at the top no one does...or maybe no one hears it or perhaps no one believes it when it's rung.

Seems to me that a fundamental shift in world opinion about the US (politico-economic) and therefore the USD is well underway. Gold stocks will continue to climb a wall of worry. Salvos by gold buying Japanese savers may sink banksters world-wide.

leveraging is a good point, and i am not arguing against gold as a long term play. i merely am pointing out that a pullback and healthy period of lateral consolidation would be better for the long-term health of the miners.

when something goes up rapidly, it goes down rapidly regardless of the asset class.
