The bonds are often a leading indicator of the perceived strength of the underlying company. You saw ATHM and EXDS bonds selling in the teens before the companies declared bankruptcy. KM is a different story, the bankruptcy filing is more a "buy time" than destruction of the company. RAD is also on the watch list now. TYC's bonds may have sold down in anticipation of the downgrades that were to come, but this is still a very strong company financially. larry
