RE:Winnick raised $20 billion from investors with a plan to build the world's first privately financed global fiber-optic network.

RE: If all the investors ponied up $100,000 then there was 200 others.

100,000 multiplied by 200 is 20 MILLION, not billion. You are off by a factor of a thousand, which is about the average for the rest of your posts here .. lol

TigerPaw,

re:"Winnick was a generous donor to the Republican Party, giving $200,000 in 1999 and 2000."

A very interesting posting and link. You realize that Global Crossing made a total of $2,800,000 Million in soft money, PAC contributions, and individual campaign donations in 1999 and 2000. I wonder how much the Democratic Party got.

latimes.com

The article also mentions that Sen. McCain recieved the largest individual contribution - though he opposed a deal (as being bad for taxpayers) that would have given a company that Global Crossing had a large interest, $6Billion.

BTW what are you trying to say here? "If all the investors ponied up $100,000 then there was 200 others."
