Steve. since you offered to help...

Can you fly over to California and find me a S-2000?

Forget the dealer invoice, I'm willing to pay MSRP...

Ok, I'm interested in the S-type Acura CL-3.2 (and a few others, but I'll ask about this one for now :-) The only problem is they don't come in a stick just now. So, I'll probably wait. However, the question, I have is how cheap can I get this thing? Edmunds says the invoice is $28,482 -- including destination but minus 3% holdback ($911) comes to $27,571. Realistically, how close to that "true" invoice could I expect to get this car for? I know to negotiate "up" from invoice.

Oh yeah, carsdirect says it can save a whopping $200 off MSRP!!!! Man bad deal, dude.

Thanks,

BTW - Steve I was laid off about 4 weeks earlier than you were, 11/01/00. Well sorta. I worked for a startup that went under then. Everyone went. One other thing in common is I worked for IBM for a long time. Haven't been to prison though. =:-}
