Thanks for the left-handed compliment:) Of course you are right. The existence, or lack thereof, of a deep personal friendship is not at all the same thing as receiving political contributions. The one doesn't necessarily follow the other. Was it Senator Bird (or someone else) who said something rather famous many years ago? ("If you can't take their money, drink their booze, screw their women... and then turn around and vote against them, you're not much of a politician!") >>> Sigh....
