I appreciate your response. I think she never gained the kind of following as i think she deserved, and the reason why she didn't had a lot to do with what you pointed out. At times I have felt that she should have focussed on quality rather than quantity...

For every brilliant tunes of hers there are quite a few mediocre ones. None of her recordings are *bad* <she did some live shows with Bob Dylan...one version of Blowing in the Wind, and Cocaine, was it ? I forget. They were HORRID....ooooh those ones get on my nerves> I don't remember exactly, but at one time I think I had around 20 albums (and compilations) of hers...

Her, Ella Fitzgerald and Bob Dylan have reached a God-like status for me....<smile>
