Ali,

Therefore it is the same deceptive tactics
of Intel: demo and publish benchmarks for P4 with
dual-channel RAMBUS, but sell en-masse P4 with single
channel SDRAM; demo and review a i815 system with
GeforceXXX, but sell loads of naked i815 boxes to
businesses.

You got it. Remember the first Coppermines sold with 810 chipset? That was the begginning. Intel is perfecting the technique.

Intel just sells the CPU and chipset. It's the OEMs and system builders that make the configurations.
