In the meantime, Itanium hasn't been selling to well....do you think they will phase it out?



I think the official name is McKinley. What I meant was the follow on chip to the Itanium. The Itanium is obviously a test chip for developers, which can't really be graded for success based on sales. McKinley, which I believe ships next qtr will be the platform companies begin to deploy real applications with.

Intel hasn't even begun to seriously market their ia64 technology. Then it will be time to start tracking McKinley against Xeon sales.
