His concern is not with the ability to upgrade memory, but with the ability of OEMs to use the best memory at the time of shipment. If the market (P4) has even moved on to PC3200 DDR SDRAM by the time Clawhammer ships in volume, this could potentially be an issue. Of course, upgrading Clawhammer's integrated PC1600/PC2100/PC2700 controller to an integrated PC2100/PC2700/PC3200 controller would be easier than increasing the FSB of Athlon from 333 MHz to 400 MHz.
