It wasn't only Niles. Steve Fortuna over at Merril see the Q ending in April to be .16 and 300-400 million short. Two anaylsts on the same day with essentially the same predictions after cautious comments by other high tech companies too coincidental? Don't know, but something tells me they are correct. Trouble is, will the analysts lose their "credibility" if DELL does gives guidance of .17? Never. But heaven forbid if MSD says .17 and tell us things are OK, and he comes in short.
