Many rather awful people (from my perspective) have chosen to exist in here- partly because people cannot stand them out THERE, I think. It took me a while to realize this. Not being one of those people, I did not recognize them for what they were. I am afraid that most of the best people that I know do not have the time to dilly dally in a place such as this. My thoughts, which I once thought were unpopular, have turned out to be far more popular with people in 3d than I thought :-) Why only today I had the MOST marvelous conversation with some people about zealots. Lovely

I am thrilled by this, of course. I have decided humanity off the net is far superior to what I have seen on SI- but then I haven't tried other web sites. I suspect at a site with more liberal minded and intellectual members, I might find more commonalities, than at a site dedicated to stocks- which I must admit I have little interest in. Money is nice to get what you want, other than that it is useless in and of itself- as far as I am concerned. People who worship money, and who want to spend their lives in the getting of money, pursue an existence I find meaningless (again just my opinion). What I love to do I would (and have done) for free. Of course it is a luxury to be in love with what you do in the world. I am glad to have that luxury. I enjoy it a lot.

You will see what I mean now.
You probably already knew, but still, it is instructive.
