Depends on what you mean. Do bears get skinned alive if they overstay their welcome? You bet! But it is in the collapse of the bear market that the excesses and crimes of the bull market are exposed. Happens every time. Interestingly, it rarely works the other way. Probably because it's harder for bears to get shenanigans started because of modern regulations and because once the bull market is underway and people are making money, they just don't care and don't want to hear about it.
