ISI: The Super Duper turns Pooper Scooper in Pearl case The kidnapping of Pearl took place in pakistan, where sheik was roaming around. He had proven that he was trouble before. If the pakis thought that Sheik was an Indian agent, the super-duper ISI should have known it before Pearl kidnapping and arrested the alleged Indian agent. Allowing this premise, If the ISI didn't know this, is this agency a pooper-scooper on Karachi streets? The pakis want this kidnapping not to interfere (though it is a tragedy) with the general's visit to Washington in any way for they have much to gain: financial aid, official US recognition that pakistan is a partner against terrorism, regular income from permanent US bases in pakistan, military relationships, US arms supply, increase in trade and flow of mighty U S dollars into paki coffers, and of course a dinner at the White House. The erstwhile outcast has suddenly become a friend, worthy of a dinner at the White House. There is a price for this dinner. The pakis are at the beck and call of US, which is a good thing: the madrasahs will get a new curriculum, terrorists will be stopped, Uncle Sam is close by to watch the rascals, the nuclear weapons will be safe-guarded and China will have a monitor on the pakistani soil. All these spell R-E-L-I-E-F to India. US has to keep the pakis under a perfect control in order to achieve their objectives in the region. US will certainly make sure that this will be the case.
