I agree with you. There's no question that money in campaigns is a tough issue that we can more easily worsen than fix. I have not yet heard a proposal that I like. If we're going to do anything, disclosure is the least intrusive and most "American" approach to take. With disclosure, though, we'd have to cover all players or there'd be no point. I don't know if it would be an improvement over the status quo or not.
