I wonder if he had established a nice short or put option position before he put out his "opinion". He'll probably make a pile of $$$ without having to take that kind of risk. He runs a subscription service for "warning investors of operational deterioration and/or signs of unusual accounting practices." Considering the impact he had on QCOM yesterday, this may be nothing more than an attempt (a successful one) to generate publicity and subscriptions.
