TGPTNDR:

"When Intel comes out with something that works is when I'll worry about it.

It's been a good long time since the last time intel put out a competitive product in the PC CPU area and it looks to me like it's gonna be a long time 'till the next time."

Good point!!!

>>I'd qualify that as a personal attack... no?<

>Only if you think it's not so. I agree with it.

Huh? If you were to call me a moron, even if it were true, it'd still be a personal attack.

>In my opinion there is an Intel Company opinion on some subjects and varying from that opinion gets one yanked from the threads.

Have you ever seen someone get yanked for that?

>Every development about to come out of Intel is touted here as being the best, gonna change the world, Oh, My God great stuff that's ..., etc.

Substitute "AMD" for "Intel", and you have the opinion of many regulars on this thread. Everybody has his/her bias.

>It's been a good long time since the last time intel put out a competitive product in the PC CPU area and it looks to me like it's gonna be a long time 'till the next time.

How so? Pentium IV, while not particularly impressive, is slightly ahead of Athlon XP in overall performance. That should qualify as "competitive"- why wouldn't it?

>When Intel comes out with something that works is when I'll worry about it.

Define "works". I was playing with a couple of P4 based units in Circuit City last weekend; they seemed fine to me.

>Your opinion may, of course differ from mine.

Evidently.
