that leaves only money supply as the key missing ingredient...are we range bound with excessive valuation capping the ceiling and liquidity the floor as it is becoming fashionable to say? In my mind that statement alone shows how what rose coloured glasses the money supply inflation of the past decade has engenderd...
but then again, i border on permabear status (since 98-99)

Velo, Re: Nazdung

Nasdaq will return negative earnings as a whole this quarter, which is the first time something like this has happened in over 70 years.

Man, I didn't even know they've been around that long. More importantly, due to the required write-off of goodwill, it may be that the entire S&P500 turns negative for this quarter. I'll leave it for others to let us know if this has ever happened. Of course, it is a non-cash item, as it directly hits shareholders' equity. So, it only matters if you are a shareholder. <gg>

The earnings comparison to last year is going to be abysmal. However, it should get better after we get this eps flush. Nonetheless, this is just FA stuff. I'm one of the Velo raptor fan club members. I thank you and all the primes on this thread for their contributions to my knowledge.
