Well, your post clearly shows your anger at the question, touch a nerve, did I? I find your emotional reaction interesting and worthy of investigation, but that would be another matter... of course I can prove a small green pickle-faced creature named Dennis isn't the Supreme Being, but I don't think you could follow it, what an absurd question, and you talk about inane and stupid statements, get a grip... what a foolish question, it's short sighted and infantile... but first before anything, subdue your anger and we might even have an intelligent dialogue... until then, breathe slowly and deeply for a few minutes, you might feel better.....

>>The truth is god and all of his denizens are figments of ignorant superstitious people passed down for thousands of years.<<

Interesting... then you suggest the advice not to steal, not to murder, and all the other morays and ethics of a modern civil society which tend to endorse the Ten Commandments are just remnants and figments of ignorant and ancient superstitious people?

According to your suggestion, modern civil societies would be better off if we had no underlying frameworks for social behaviors... and to take your logic one step further, you would also suggest todays' legislators are chasing after those same figments of ignorant superstitions...

There is a definite defect in your reasoning, you have not thought through this issue to any responsible extent... unless you're a hermit and live in a cave and none of it really matters to you, but that still would not deny the validity of the argument... whatever you like, hey, that's okay with me... if you live the way you post, you probably have an arrest record.....

"Can you prove that a small green pickle-faced creature named Dennis isn't the supreme being?"

River, from where I am coming from, the answer is NO, but
for the reason that there is NOTHING but the Divine, and Dennis is no exception.

In this vantage point, the Divine is Consciousness and the
ENERGY that lives every one and every thing. And yes, it can be proven that every thing animate and inanimate is
energy or light. And Light is an observable manifestation of the Divine Being.

You may think this is more BS belief stuff. However, if anyone is serious, they can test out for themselves the truth of it all. But in the process your life is changed and you become aligned in greater and lesser ways with that
Light.

Should you not be interested in that, you should remain on the sidelines but pursue what passionately moves you. You will not find it constructive for your own growth to remain for too many lifetimes in the role of cynic and debunker,
for the reason that this just buttresses your own isolation and dismay.

There are lots of reasons to be distressed by the BS of this world. But that is a trap, too.

Namaste!

Jim
