Second_Titan, here's a list of ingredients for a virtuous society: freedom individual rights political and economical freedoms - morality? Without morality the first three can't be put into play. We forfeit our freedom and we enter into a vicious circle of poverty. Whether you like it or not religion plays a huge role in our lives but the role of the state is not to control how we think and live, but to protect the environment that includes the first three on the list. I will agree war is hell but each of your other statements are false.Open a history book,you will learn that the crusades invaded to retake the holy land not to forestall a muslim invasion of europe.Europe learned maths ,astronomy and medicine from the arabs who were far more civilized than christian countries at the time and as to being poor because of their religion and culture, please tell me again that there are no poor countries that are not muslim.
