I remember mentioning banana trees to someone, but I also can't recall where... still, yes, banana trees are not trees, they're really banana plants so they grow from little sprouts to full trees in about 18 months and they'll give bananas every year... after the plant gives bananas, you then take a machete and cut the plant down at ground level and several more stalks will pop up... these plants will grow like weeds, they require absolutely no attention, and the bananas are as sweet as sugar when you let they remain on the vine until almost ripe..... did that help?
