I have a feeling you and I will be there to help repaint the bathroom and sell the place for a tidy profit later on :)

Re: LTB&H is still viable. Short term addicts do long term investors a favor by paying taxes at a higher rate, thereby helping to close the deficit gap. LTB&H is viable because it banks on management quality and growth in demand. However, I also agree that one's long term position can be enhanced through the use of options, particularly covered calls that are sold to lock in a profit. For those who want to add to a position, the purchase of call options with a short term expiration date, or the sale of put options with a longer term expiration date may also be useful.

The point is, you don't sell out good management; they'll figure out how to deal with whatever problem arises. And you also need not alter an investment until there is a recognizable change in fundamentals (e.g., somebody invented a better mousetrap).
