Kelvin, GLW- If you recall GLW was late to the Nas party. (see chart GLW vs Nas- 60 months)
siliconinvestor.com

The reason it was late is because it really doesn't have that much to offer. It only became popular from a bunch of hype when everyone was in a buying panic trying to find the next JDSU. They went from GLW to General Cable because General cable made fiber cable. The the public found that all General Cable does is cable.(that was a slam dunk short) GLW is more diverse but in my opinion the street is starting to recognize that GLW is a commodity company that has a couple of new "parts" that they paid too much money for in the late 90's-2000. I think the market perception is changing and that's why I posted that other comparison with some nas blue chips to show relative pergformance. Will GLW outperform better than the others in a recovery? I really don't think so. GLW sales are down more than 50% Q to Q. I think revenues will hard for GLW to expand going forward in the markets they serveMuch harder than the ones I mentioned.

That said, Market perception could make this a good trade here but remember I was commenting on 2-3 years out and the valuations that were predicted for a longer term hold.
