I borrowed this site from the Booms, Busts and Recoveries thread. It offers an interpretation of the Elliot Waves for this market. I've never used this site before so take this information with a grain of salt as I cannot comment on the validity of the author's opinion. It's simple to offer a different point of view so we can all make more educated guesses on this zany market:

urbansurvival.com

Disclosure: I'm very bearish this market even though I currently have short term long positions for a possible bounce on the market next week.

Problem is we try and daytrade and thats not the ticket..
Gotta disagree. My feeling is that I can do a much better job of predicting the market over the next three hours or the next three days than I can over the next three months or the next three years.

I've had a profitable every year since I got back into the market in '95. And I don't do longterm. I just can't see that far ahead.

The flip side of that is that I could probably have made 5X-10X as much if I had just bought some mutual finds or an assortment of stocks and held until March 2000. The problem with that point of viewing would be recognizing that that little downswing then wasn't just another minor correction, but the start of a bear market.

If you know how to do that, please tell me the secret.
