Interesting note from The Fateful Triangle:

The Jewish community that existed in Palestine before Zionism was largely composed of Orthodox Jews, who opposed Zionism from its outset. Their leadership in later years supported the PLO in its call for a democratic secular state of Palestine!

Another note - Abba Eban cites official "Government policy guidelines" adopted by the Knesset (1982, I believe), which state:

"After the transition period laid down in the Camp David accords, Israel will raise its claim and will act to fulfill its rights of sovereignty over Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza District."

[Judea/Samaria = West Bank]

P.S. West Bank = Czechoslovakia in 1937
